SHOULD I DROPOUT OF SCHOOL?

Forbes  simply  compiled a  list of  school dropouts who became billionaires and hell has been let loose in ivory towers around the world. This list boasts such household names as : Bill Gates of Microsoft, Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Steve Jobs of Apple Inc., Oracle founder Larry Ellison, and Armancio Otega-the richest man in Spain. the maxim :stay in school, it is cool, seems no longer true.

Forbes Wants You To Quit School?

Yeah! of course they do. I mean if quitting school produced such life changing things as the PC (thanks Bill!), such adorable things as iphones, ipods, ipads and mac. computers then we should all dropout and life will be all fun, don't you think?

Well, being a dropout isn't the magic that turns you into a billionaire, but  it is the reason for dropping out that does the trick. None of those mentioned above dropped out because:

  • Schooling was Stressful.
  • There friends dropped out and hit it big.
  • Because there are no jobs.
  • Failed repeatedly and angrily left.
So, how did they know when to dropout? it was when they discovered they had an IDEA. not a fantasy not a wishy trip, but a strong workable idea. Bill Gates dropped out of  Harvard because he felt the IDEA (Microsoft) was time sensitive,

 Steve Jobs dropped out because:

“I  had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. And here I was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. So I decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out okay.”

Mark Zuckerberg quit so as to devote more time to his promising start up (Facebook).

So, if you want to quit school at any level you better have an IDEA.  Moreover, in the long run nobody can actually quit school because life itself is full of lessons.
